The Local Authorities Solicitors Bar Association invited BCL to speak at their Spring Seminar 2010 at County Hall, Cork City, on Friday May 28, 2010. Other speakers included Peter Byrne, Solicitor, Dublin City Council; Elizabeth Dolan, Office of the Information Commissioner; Stephen McDevitt, Solicitor, Cork County Council; Imelda Reynolds, Solicitor, Beauchamps; and Dr. Aine Ryall, Law Department, University College Cork.
About LASBA
LASBA is the Local Authorities Solicitors Bar Association of Ireland. It represents in-house solicitors employed by the Local Authorities in Cork City and County, Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal, County Galway, County Kerry, South Dublin, and County Wicklow. LASBA is officially recognised by the Law Society of Ireland as a representative bar association. LASBA holds two seminars a year. For the past few years the Spring Seminar has been hosted by Cork County Council. The Winter Seminar is hosted by Dublin City Council.
