Brief Counsel Ltd attended the Forum on Public Procurement in Ireland's launch of the Charter on Incorporating Acquired Rights (TUPE) into Contract Awards Procedures. The event, held at the Stephen's Green Hibernian Club, heard from guest of honour Ger Deering (Director, NERA) and keynote speakers Seamus Butler (President, Forum on Public Procurement in Ireland) and David Fagan (Partner, Eversheds O'Donnell Sweeney solicitors), and was attended by a large number of public sector and utility procurement managers and service providers to the public sector.
The Charter informs the approach of awarding authorities, existing service providers and successful tenderers and ensures a level playing pitch for service providers tendering for contracts while providing buyers with the procedures for awarding such contracts.
