The Institute of Barristers' Clerks Annual Conference 2010 was held at the Bridgewater Centre, Manchester, on Saturday June 26, 2010. The theme of this year's conference was "Embrace Change and Deliver", and attendees heard from Nicholas Green QC, chairman of the Bar of England & Wales; Baroness Ruth Deech, chairman of the Bar Standards Board; Mr Justice Ryder, Presiding Judge of the Northern Circuit; Christian Wisskirchen BL, International Relations Manager at the Bar Council of England & Wales; David Grief, Senior Clerk, Essex Court Chambers, London; Nick Tiffen, Clerk, Selborne Chambers, Sydney, Australia; and Professor Stephen Mayson, Director of the Legal Services Policy Institute at The College of Law, London.
